Retired Chaplain sets eyes on London Marathon

Revd Fiona Eltringham, a former Co-ordinating Prison Chaplain based in Durham Diocese, will be taking part in this year’s London Marathon.

She is aiming to raise funds for The Children’s Society, a charity that supports young people.

Gill Dean, North East Community Relationship Manager at The Children’s Society, said: “I am delighted that Revd Fiona Eltringham is taking part in this year’s London Marathon, raising sponsorship to give hope to children and young people, and change their lives for the better.”

Revd Fiona added: “The Marathon will be a challenge for this septuagenarian, but I’m really excited.

“Each mile will support The Children’s Society!”
