This morning, Bishop Paul was delighted to make a special visit to Gainford CofE Primary School.
While there, he took part in collective worship but his main reason for visiting was to thank the children for designing his Christmas card this year and to give prizes to the winners.
Oliver’s drawing of the nativity scene was chosen as the winning design for the front cover of the design while Jacob, Toby and Ivy’s designs were runners up and feature on the back cover.
Sending 800 Christmas cards this year, it’s unsurprising that one of the children asked the Bishop, ‘Do your wrists not get sore from signing all those cards?’
