A long-serving member of a local parish church has been licensed as Associate Priest – almost 60 years after she first stepped foot inside.
A free service set up by St Andrew’s Church, Haughton-le-Skerne to support people struggling with debt is continuing to go from strength-to-strength.
On Saturday 14 September, people from across the Diocese gathered together at Durham Cathedral to celebrate those called to exercise lay ministry within our Diocese with Bishop Sarah licensing or authorising 23 new lay ministers.
The Revd Dr Richard Briggs has been licensed as the new Principal of Lindisfarne College of Theology.
Visitors to Durham Cathedral this summer can experience a brand new immersive artwork as a canopy of paper doves is suspended in the cathedral's Nave.
