Interviews for the next Bishop of Durham will be taking place on 9 and 10 December.
Durham Cathedral will be hosting a special time of 24/7 prayer to coincide with these, from Morning Prayer (8.30am) on 9th December to Morning Prayer (8.30am) on 10th December. Please do join us in prayer during these days, whether in person at the Cathedral, at your own church or from home.
The Acting Bishop of Durham and Bishop of Jarrow, Sarah Clark said: “Please come and join us in prayer at whatever time of day or night you can. We invite you to come to Durham Cathedral to join us in prayer for the next Bishop as we enter the final stage of this discernment process. I appreciate that for some people, coming to the Cathedral might not be possible, so I invite you to join us in prayer at home or in church at a time that suits you. It is such a gift to be able to tell our hearts to God in prayer at what is a special time.”
