Councillor Alison Smith, Mayor of Sunderland, awarded three North-East charities with a lump sum as part of the Mayor’s Chosen Charities.
Mayor Alison chose three charities in which to raise money for throughout the year.
£17,127.98 was given out to ‘Hope4All’, ‘Friends of Bunnyhill’ and ‘Downhill Community Pond and Garden’ in a special cheque presentation at Sunderland’s City Hall last Tuesday.
Hope4All, which recently celebrated its two-year anniversary, received £8,350.
