To see our vision for Transformation become a reality over the coming decade will require all of God’s people to step into their vocation, according to His will and empowered by His Holy Spirit. Through our Growing Leadership stream of work, we hope to support many more individuals to take up positions of leadership, both lay and ordained, by enabling all to explore their vocation. To meet the needs of the coming season, we are especially focused on raising up leaders of new worshipping communities and leaders for the emerging generations.
Continuing to work closely with both Cranmer Hall and Lindisfarne, and engaging with local and national specialist training providers, we will provide a rich variety of training pathways for new and experienced leaders to be equipped and supported at every stage of their journey. We are also committed to the continuation of wellbeing support for leaders through our counselling service, and provision for pastoral supervision.
One key thread of Growing Leadership is to support our Growing Younger vision, in line with the national ‘’. This has a focus on raising up new leaders for children and young people, both volunteers and employed. We know this can be an area of challenge in many churches, but we also know that great leaders for kids and young people can come from all walks of life. We will be offering training at various levels, from those who are just exploring this ministry, to those who want to increase their skillset or obtain a qualification, and many of these opportunities are fully funded through the 30k Project.
Similarly, we will be increasing opportunities for lay leaders of new worshipping communities, and equipping clergy in providing effective oversight, as we recognise the integral role of this to enabling our Transformation vision.
