Energising Growth is foundational to our Transformation vision of fruitfulness. We long to see healthy, growing churches with deepening discipleship and increasing influence.
Our Energising Growth priority has three facets:
- Growth in Breadth – growth in the number of people self-identifying as Christian, evidenced through commitment to a local church family (Hebrews 10:25).
- Growth in Depth – growth in our lived understanding of discipleship. Evidenced through individuals committing to being transformed by the renewing of our minds, so that we may discern the will of God—what is good and acceptable and perfect (Romans 12:2).
- Growth in Reach – growth in our influence, being a light on a hill (Matthew 5:14), or yeast in the loaf (Matthew 13:33), to effect the transformation of our parishes through the transformation of our churches.
As a Diocese we are blessed with a wide variety of Christian traditions and practices so we know the outworking of this priority will be varied and this is to be celebrated.
