Caring for God's Creation

As Christ's disciples we have a responsibility of stewardship for all of God’s creation. This is expressed in the fifth mark of mission and echoed in our diocesan priority.

Our Caring for God’s Creation Priority has three facets:

  • Cultivating a shared Christian vision for God’s creation and our call to steward, nurture and protect it, in Jesus’ name, for the good of everyone, everywhere (Psalm 24:1-2).
  • Promote responsible consumption and behaviour as individuals and churches (Romans 8:20-21).
  • Work together to challenge environmental indifference and injustice (Isaiah 58:6).
