We are seeking a Net Zero Strategic Fundraising Manager to work across a North East cluster of five dioceses - Durham, Leeds, Newcastle, Sheffield and York.
The Church of England has set an ambitious goal of achieving net zero across all its properties and activities by 2030. This exciting new role will work strategically across five Northern dioceses to engage major funders to help them reduce emissions and work towards the 2030 goal.
Job purpose: You will identify and develop current and potential fundraising opportunities from Government, charities, and other sources to help finance the Church’s efforts to achieve environmental sustainability. You will work closely with external stakeholders, the national Net Zero team, individual local giving, grant finding and environmental teams to create a funding pipeline that meets regional priorities to help achieve net zero.
Funded by the Church of England Net Zero Programme, this is a remote working opportunity on a full-time basis for 3 years, with the Diocese of Newcastle acting as the employer. We expect that the postholder will travel to our Newcastle offices and across the area on a regular basis, as required.
Closing date: Sunday 16 November 2025.
Interviews: To be held online 3 or 4 December
