Come and follow in the footsteps of
Benedict Biscop and The Venerable Bede

The Crown and the Bishop of Durham as Patrons, are looking to appoint a Team Rector of Jarrow. There has been continual worship in this parish since the foundation of Jarrow Monastery by Benedict Biscop in 681AD. The ancient church of St Paul, along with the churches of St Peter, St Simon, and St John the Baptist serve the people of Jarrow. This training parish has a team vicar and able lay people who share in day to day ministry.

We are looking to appoint someone who will help us to form a future vision for our churches and who can work with us as we walk in the way of the Northern Saints. We would love to work with an inclusive, sacramentally and community focused priest who can build on what has been 1350 years of Christian witness.

  • Closing Date: 09:00am on 2nd March 2020
  • Interviews: 17th March 2020

For more information and/or an informal conversation please contact: the Team Vicar of Jarrow; The Revd Stuart Hill on 07734 251001
