Social Media Guidelines 2013The Diocese of Durham has issued it’s first Social Media Guidance advice document. Diocesan communication adviser Keith Blundy said: “The purpose of these guidelines is to give all church communicators a flavour of the Do’s and Don’t’s in using social media and other on-line platforms. “We encourage the use of social media as part of mission and ministry and offer this guidance note to help smooth the way, avoid the pitfalls and get you out there communicating the good news of Jesus Christ, his church and the Diocese. “The Church of England is unique in having a presence in every community and increasingly that means online and through social media – and these guidelines are a response to that rapidly emerging community. We hope that will act as a springboard for good practice and the increasing use of social media throughout the Diocese.” Keith Blundy is happy to help you set-up and keep you up to date with the latest developments, trends, best-practice and guidance on the use of social media.
