Priest in Charge of St Alban’s Windy Nook and
St John’s Gateshead Fell
This is an exciting opportunity to bring together two churches who are excited about their future together. Both parishes have a heart for pastoral care, social outreach and concern for the poor. This is a kairos moment in the life of these parishes as the look forward with joyful anticipation to a future working relationship in God’s grace.
We are looking forward to teach and nurture all members of the existing congregations and to help them develop their faith and share it with others.
To reach out in evangelism to all ages in the parish through involvement in, and engagement with the local community.
To continue & develop involvement in local community activity and wider charitable work. To build on established partnerships with churches in our Deanery and ecumenically in Gateshead.
Jesus was all about being with people, sharing meals together, spending time with them and inviting them to discover a God who reveals himself in loving relationships – a living God, the God who is waiting to be found in every human heart.
Jesus was also concerned about the hungry and downtrodden, those who needed justice and those who needed to know, above all else that they were loved by God.
We want to be a Church that lives like that; churches which are all about the Living God.
