After 25 years of service in the Diocese of Durham and after much consideration, Judy Hirst (Local Church Growth and Development Advisor) has decided to retire at the end of this month. Judy has given so much to the clergy and people of the region.

Her passion and commitment to helping people grow and flourish has been at the heart of her ministry in the Diocese, during her time on the staff of Cranmer Hall and as associate minister at St Johns Neville’s Cross and Honorary Canon of Durham Cathedral. Gladly Judy and John will remain living in Durham where she intends to pursue her interest in spirituality and enjoy having more time for family and friends. There will be an occasion to mark Judy’s retirement at an event in the Autumn.

Please pray for Judy and her family in this time of transition and join with me in giving so much thanks for her as a friend and colleague to so many.

Judy will retire on the 31st August 2019.
