Brancepeth Castle

This term’s Pulse Youth Event is going to be slightly different! We are organising the first ever (and perhaps only ever!) Archdeaconry Youth Games. The venue is Brancepeth Castle near Durham DH7 8DF on Sunday 14th July from 3-6pm. There will be lots of traditional sports day events in the grounds of the castle including egg and spoon, sack races, tug-of-war and welly throwing and young people will represent one of the archdeaconries!  Archdeacons Rick Simpson (Auckland) and Bob Cooper (Sunderland) will be on hand to cheer on their teams and Bishop Paul will be there to ensure fair play! The afternoon will finish with a short closing service in beautiful St Brandon’s Church.

This is a free event for young people at secondary school (Years 7+). Youth groups can bring along picnics. Young people can participate in as many or few events as they wish to. It doesn’t matter how many or few young people you bring as groups will not be competing against other groups! Bring your group and come and have fun!!

Booking is essential by Wednesday 3rd July (approx numbers only) to Kate Martin [email protected] or 0191 3746017
