A “Son et Fleur” Flower and Music Festival celebrating the Voyage of St. Brandon in search of the Island of Paradise – said to have taken place some 1500 years ago.  Visitors will also be able to view a copy of the Lindisfarne Gospels and hear extracts from Shaun Davey’s musical suite entitled the Voyage of St. Brandon, as well as pieces from the choir.  An accompanying exhibition in the village hall explores the life of St. Brandon, Celtic saint, missionary and navigator, the history of the church and its people, and on show will also be a video giving glimpses of the fire that gutted this historic church in 1998 , its rebuilding and some of the discoveries revealed.  £5.00 secures admission to both events.  For more information ring 0191 378 0974
