Game Changers is an exciting new programme in the North East, providing fun opportunities for young people in the region to explore faith, sport and leadership whilst making new friends. Meeting during school holidays, we use sport and games to chat about our faith, support one another through prayer and explore what Christ-like leadership looks like both on and off the pitch. Game Changers is open to young people in school years 7-11 with a keen interest in sport, although they don’t have to play for a team or at an elite level – everyone is welcome!

We will be launching Game Changers in the Durham Diocese on Wednesday 30th October between 10am and 3pm. (We are aware that unfortunately this is not during half-term if you attend a school in the Gateshead Education Authority)

This will take place in the Parish Centre, Church Chare, Chester-le-Street DH3 3QB

Lunch is provided by SU North East & Yorkshire and participants should come suitably dressed for taking part in physical activity and bring a refillable water bottle. There will be an opportunity for the young people to go through an accredited sports leadership qualification over the next 12 months.

For more details or to register somebody for Game Changers, please contact Mark Oliver, SU Sports Ministry Development Worker for the North East, on 07956 215557 or [email protected]
