The fast-growing town of Sedgefield just a few miles south of Durham, and the neighbouring villages of Fishburn, the three Trimdons and Bishop Middleham. Together, they have a rich history. As one newcomer said recently “All in all, this is a great place to be . . .” What’s missing in the Upper Skerne is a dedicated and inspirational Team Rector to lead our ministry team and to help grow the Christian community in this part of the world. We recognise the challenges which face us as a parish and the need to work alongside a Team Rector in embracing the necessary changes and in finding new and exciting ways of fulfilling our calling as the people of God in this place.
