St Giles is on Gilesgate in Durham city; Shadforth and Sherburn are villages a little further out. These parishes are seeking a priest who will work with their varied challenges and opportunities with energy and vision, who will encourage fresh approaches to parish leadership and lay ministry, and develop growing work with new congregations, youth and schools. Help is needed to turn occasional engagement of large numbers through baptism, wedding and funerals, into a deeper participation in flourishing Christian life.
