“Our vision for the future … To bring people of all ages to know the Love of God and deepen the Faith of those within the Family of the Church”
This is a great opportunity for ministry at the heart of South Shields with huge potential for community engagement and outreach. We are hoping for a mission minded priest, who can build on the good foundations that have been laid, someone who gets the mission opportunities of the occasional offices especially baptisms and can use them for growth. You will need a heart for growing disciples through excellent worship and teaching, and being engaged with the community. In the light of future clergy reductions you will need to be collaborative in spirit and style, someone who can work to enable the churches of the traditional grouping in South Shields to flourish, within the broader deanery.
This church has passed a resolution on the grounds of theological conviction that arrangments be made for it in accordance with the House of Bishops’ Declaration on the Ministry of Bishops and Priests.
