One the joys of the Diocese of Durham is the richness of its diversity. Some churches find great value in connecting with a particular network, enabling them to be part of something beyond themselves and to receive fresh insight from outside their immediate situation.

The mission and ministry support team exists to help churches of all traditions and different contexts to grow, to reach children and young people and to respond to the challenges of poverty. In focussing on these priorities, we know that churches have benefitted from all kinds of networks; from Walsingham to New Wine, Focus to Fan the Flame, Spring Harvest to Taize and many others.

It may be that you would like to find out more about networks that might help your church to flourish. Do get in touch if that would be helpful.

Over the years, many have found that networks like the ‘New Wine’ movement have really helped.

Are you, or your church, interested in finding out more about ‘New Wine’?

Then come along to Durham Cathedral on Friday 27th October (7.00 – 8.30pm) when it is hosting a Celebration event with teaching from Mark Aldridge, New Wine’s Director of Church Leadership Development.

Do come along and see for yourself whether New Wine might encourage and support you or your church. You don’t have to pay. You don’t need to ‘join’ you can just come and take part and be blessed as we seek to bless others in every community in which we serve.
