Following events in a church in Rouen France - on Tuesday 26/07/16, the Metropolitan Police has circulated the attached letter to all church leaders in its area and recommended that the letter be circulated more widely to offer advice and address concerns the Christian community may have following the appalling murder in France.

The key recommendation is that church leaders and congregations should remain alert and not alarmed: there is no current intelligence to suggest any attack planning of this nature in this country.

If you have any local concerns or are aware of any suspicious behaviour, please contact the police or call the anti-terrorist hotline on 0800 789 321.
